Hi!  My name is Danette Rardon.  I suppose the best way to describe myself is to quote my good friend, Scott Ware, an usher at this upcoming event.  "Danette, who likes to spend her time barefoot and pregnant as a woman subservient to a man."  If you believe this statement, you must also believe that Scott voted for George W. in the last election.     
 
After many years and several extremely long voice mail messages to Matt, the day of Kristin and Matt's wedding is fast approaching and I am happy and honored to share in their wedding day.  Kristin and I have been friends since our freshman year in high school.  During our long friendship, we discovered we have many things in common.  An extraordinary ability to hit a running target with a single sandal, a love of yelling at sporting events and the magic to drive to Colorado on one tank of gas. 
 
My quintessential Kristin memory is a fateful trip returning from a high school sporting event.  While my parents drove us home, the Tate siblings (Kristin & Erin), the Rardons (me & Derek) and the McNallys (Lindsey and Aaron) rode along in the van.  Inexplicably, the light-hearted conversation about the movie "Forrest Gump" turned into a raging debate between the Tates and Derek as to certain pieces of dialogue.  The poor McNallys just huddled in the middle seat while the argument became louder and louder.  An official winner was not declared, but I must believe this is part of the reason that Kristin ended up in a lake a few years later.
