I've been lucky enough to meet many country singers over the years. Either through fan clubs, winning, or through the good old autograph line-it's always been a neat experience. Below are pictures of me and the stars and a little bit about how I met them.

The closest I'll ever get to meeting George Strait!
Me & 'George Strait'
May 17, 1998 - Minneapolis, MN
My mom and I were at the George Strait Festival and we were enjoying the whole festival feel with games, stands and other interesting things. We walked up to the Chevy trucks and saw George standing there. I couldnt resist! It does look kind of real. I think I should have put my arm around him to make it more realistic-hes a pretty shy guy!
My 1st REAL star encounter!
Me & Michael Peterson
June 25, 1998 - Cadott, WI
It was the first day of Country Fest in 1998. After Michael's show, my mom and I decided to walk around. We saw a line forming near Michaels merchandise booth so unknowing what the line was for, we got in line. We soon learned that it was to meet him! I was so excited! When it was my turn to meet him I was very nervous, but Michael was very nice. He signed my T-shirt for me and we posed for the picture and pulled me in tight. He was one of the nicest stars I've ever met!
Worth waiting for Sherrie'!
Me & Sherrie' Austin
June  28, 1998 - Cadott, WI
The final day of Country Fest in 1998 kicked off by Sherrie Austin. I had her CD and really liked her music. We heard them announce that she would be signing autographs after her show. We got in line, but we were pretty far back. We were nearing the front of the line when Sherrie left! We were disappointed, but understood that she didnt want to be signing during John Berrys (the next act) set-she didnt want to distract people from his show. So during Johns set, my mom and I stood in line to meet Sherrie. Sherrie came back and she signed my T-shirt and my souvenir book. She was very nice and very tiny.
Chely Wright is cool!
Me & Chely Wright
July 17, 1998 - Eau Claire, WI
My mom and I went to Country Jam on day 2 (Friday) primarily to see Tim McGraw & Faith Hill. Chely Wright was the first act of the day. I didnt know much about her but thought she put on a good show. After she was done, they announced that she would be signing autographs by her merchandise. It was my turn and I gave Chely my shirt to sign. My mom took a picture of her signing the shirt for me and she was about to take another of me posing with Chely but Chelys people said only 1 picutre or something like that. But my mom took another picture anyway - which explains why Im not really smiling! Oh well!!
Bill Engvall is SO funny!
Me & Bill Engvall
July 17, 1998 - Eau Claire, WI
My mom won Best Seats in the House from WAXX-104 for Bill Engvall. We had been onstage previously with John Anderson, so we didnt think anything different then just siting onstage during his show. We found out after getting up onstage that we would get to meet Bill too! So after his funny show we went backstage to meet him. He was a really nice guy and he signed my shirt.
LeAnn Rimes...
Me & LeAnn Rimes
July 18, 1998 - Eau Claire, WI
I had a fan club meet and greet pass to meet LeAnn Rimes. I was excited because at the time, she was one of my favorite singers. LeAnn was suppose to have her meet and greet during Clay Walkers show. Well, I got in line and they kept postponing the meeting...FINALLY during Bryan's show we (fan club members) were let back to meet her. When I got up there, security was rushing me to get my camera ready and my picture ready to be signed. I dont remember saying anything to LeAnn. This ranks as one of the worst experiences with meeting a star...
1st time meeting Bryan - I was SO NERVOUS!
Me & Bryan White
July 18, 1998 - Eau Claire, WI
After meeting LeAnn, I went in the picture line and took some pictures of Bryan. I didnt think it was worth trying to find where my mom was sitting, so I just stood in line to meet Bryan. Bryans meet and greet went A LOT smoother! When it was my turn, I was super nervous - he was one of my top 3 favorite singers at the time. He was very nice and actually talked to me and yes, I actually talked back-but not much! LOL Too bad about the sunburn-ouch!
Mark Miller is awesome!
Me & Mark Miller (of Sawyer Brown)
December 9, 1998 - Eau Claire, WI
We heard on the radio (B-95) that Sawyer Brown was coming to the State Regional Arts Center in Eau Claire and that they were giving away tickets. The added bonus was that you got to meet the guys! Well, my mom ended up getting through and winning tickets. When we found our seats, we stunned to find out that they were in the 2nd row! The guys were awesome and when they were done, we waited around for the meet and greet. Each guy came out individually and signed stuff for those with passes. The sad thing was that we could only have 1 picture with 1 of the guys-I picked Mark!
