Norma Shearer appears as a young bride-to-be who is tragically shot on her wedding day by a man who loves her hoping to shoot her fiancee. The poor man who lost his future wife must live in torment for years with only his beloved young niece to keep him company. The niece falls in love with a man, not knwing that he is really the son of the man who shot her aunt! This moving is a touching tearjerker so keep a tissue at hand!
