| The Unexpected Life can be cruel, unkind and unfair No one to love you, Nobody to care You reach out to a stranger for a simple hello No place to visit nowhere to go No family to phone, no friends who stop by So sad and alone you just want to cry You have given up hope ready to make the pain end Why must this happen all you wanted was a friend You say this is it, no longer will I be Just another face in the crowd, someone's memory You open the drawer and pull out a blade Dismissing the plans and the goals you had made No one will miss me, no one will care No one to hold anyway, no future to share You bring the blade closer your body is numb The end is now here, the time has now come It pierces your skin, the blood hits the floor Just then theres a sound, a knock on the door The sound unexpected, jolts you awake What were you thinking? So many plans to make This can't be the end, life can't be that bad It's ok to hurt to cry and be mad You run to the door, blood on your shirt The fog in your head lifting, forgetting the hurt No one has been here in ages you see Who could be knocking? Who could it be? You open the door and nobody is there You look all around and there's nothing but air A feeling of hope overcomes you, a breeze passes by Your angels return to their place in the sky So know your never alone in any moment in life When times look so bad, through turmoil and strife You have guardians , angels, and guides Who love and protect you and are always by your side Michele 11/03/01 |
