Bringing a Miracle... A Sailor Wing
Written By Neptune
A five year old, silver haired, black eyed girl named Nira bounded down the stairs of the palace, followed closely by her best friend, who was also five and had blonde hair and clear colored eyes, Lily. The two girls were trying to find a place to hide from Queen Uranus, whose real name was Haru. The two friends often enjoyed playing hide and seek with Haru and sometimes Michi, Queen Neptune, if she wasn't too busy. The girls hid behind a large vase near the wall and watched as Queen Uranus looked in every nook and cranny in the hall. Suddenly, something tapped Nira on the shoulder and she shrieked and jumped up knocking over the vase, which shattered into hundreds of pieces. A familiar laugh was heard as both of the girls turned around and saw the mischievous Haruka, and behind her the innocent looking Michiru. Lily's clear eyes blazed a dark blue as she looked at the laughing Uranian princess. Haru ran over and inspected the girls to make sure they weren't hurt. Luckily they weren't. "Haruka! Now, why did you do that to Nira? Plus you ruined my vase," Haru scolded.
Haruka glared at her mother then at Nira and an evil grin set across her face like a hurricane over water. "But mommy! I saw that Nira was standing too close to the vase, so I tapped her hoping that she wouldn't get startled so that she could move," Haruka lied, putting on one of Michiru's innocent smiles. Haru looked at Michiru and gave her a look that let Michiru know that she had to tell what happened.
"Michiru, what did Haruka do?" asked Haru, knowing that Michiru would spill if she gave the right look. Michiru looked at Haruka and frowned then looked down at the ground. Haru knew that Michiru wouldn't tattle on Haruka and gave up. "Oh well. I can still have many others made just like it. Come on girls, it's time for bed. Go upstairs and get ready and I'll tell you a story."
The girls rushed upstairs and to their room, mumbling and whispering little insults and other things to each other. The four girls got on their nightgowns, which matched each one's senshi aura. Haruka had navy, Michiru had aqua green, Nira had silver, and Lily had white. The nightgowns were made of pure silk and were warm in winter and cold in summer. The girls climbed into their individual king sized beds and waited for Haru, telling jokes and giggling while they waited.
Finally, Haru came into the room, dressed in her flowing, long, yellow nightgown, and sat down on the chair in the middle of the room, which had always been there. The girls got quiet and gave Haru their full attention, knowing that tonight's story would be a different one. Haru cleared her throat and closed her eyes; focusing on the story she would show the girls. See, Haru told stories, but she also had a power that allowed her to see the stories then project them out of her mind and allow other people to see it.
The girls looked up at the image as it cleared and saw the planet Uranus as it was centuries ago. Haru began to tell the story. "Long ago, on the planet Uranus, the Uranian senshi learned how to sprout wings. They also learned how to use them in battle to gain advantage against opponents. But the only reason they had wings was because they ruled the element air and needed the wings to protect the skies. The other senshi, who were training on the Moon, found out about the wings and became outraged that the Uranus senshi had more specials powers than they did. The senshi told Queen Amaris, the Moon kingdom's queen, to make it so that all the senshi had wings, too. But, the Uranus senshi protested against this and said that the senshi didn't deserve wings because they didn't have the rightful power. The queen, however, made it so that all the senshi had wings. During a destructive war, between the Moon kingdom and the Ataris Galaxy, all of the senshi were killed, and since none of them had descendants Queen Amaris appointed new senshi. Those senshi were our great-great-great grandparents. The only problem was the new senshi didn't have wings and the queen died before she could cast another spell to give them some. The new queen, Queen Tsukino, was kind of clumsy and not at all good at controlling the crystal so of course she couldn't grant the senshi wings either. But, her daughter cast a spell that swore that someday a certain senshi would gain her wings after committing the bravest act that a senshi could," Haru finished her story and stopped the story image. She noticed that Nira was sitting on her bed playing with an image ball. Haru also noticed that inside the image ball were the images of the story.
Nira put the ball away under her bed and scrambled under the covers of her bed and closed her eyes, hoping to have a psychic dream of the brave act and the senshi that would commit it. Haru kissed each one of the small girls on the forehead, turned out the light and left the room. Haruka sat up in bed. "Hey, who do you guys think will be the senshi to do that brave act," Haruka asked, looking around and noticing that everyone was still awake except for Nira.
Michiru turned over in bed and looked at Haruka. "I don't know. It would have to be someone with a heart and will of gold", Michiru replied, nodding slightly, then reaching under her bed and grabbing her aqua mirror.
Haruka grinned. "You're gonna cheat? Do you think it'll work?" Haruka knew that Michiru's mirror could reveal anything, but she was a bit unsure if it would let them cheat. Lily sat up, too, to see if it'd work. Michiru gazed into the mirror, but as she transferred her thought to the mirror it clouded over. Michiru frowned and looked at Haruka, who frowned, too.
"Why didn't it work?" Lily asked, frowning as well. Michiru shook her head.
"Maybe...maybe the mirror doesn't know. Maybe the senshi hasn't done that act in the future yet," Michiru replied, biting her lower lip. Haruka looked away from the other girls and out the window, knowing somehow that she knew the senshi that would grow the mythic wings.

(Ten years later)
Sailor Uranus blasted the evil daimon that had attacked her and Sailor Neptune, who was behind Uranus, ready to take over for her. The daimon shrieked as Sailor Uranus blasted it again and it withered into nothing. Sailor Lunar Eclipse, followed closely by Sailor Solar Eclipse, ran into the small clearing where Sailor Uranus and Neptune were. "Did you guys run into a daimon, too?" Sailor Lunar Eclipse asked. Neptune nodded.
"They've been springing up everywhere! We've battled four of those little boogers already!" Uranus exclaimed, pointing to a scrape a daimon had made on Neptune's hand. The four scouts de-transformed, knowing that they had probably gotten all of the daimons that had gotten past the palace guards.
Nira frowned, and suddenly her eyes widened in terror as she received a premonition. She glanced up at the sky, eyes still wide, and spotted another daimon. But, the daimon looked different, somehow. It looked fierce and cunning. The daimon powered up and shot a purple beam of light from its hand, which headed towards Lily.
Nira felt to shocked to shriek but she then regained her bearings and turned towards Lily. She ran as fast as she could and pushed Lily out of the way of the blast just in time.
The blast hit the ground and destroyed the grass, dirt and rocks in about a two-foot radius. Good thing Nira had landed at least four feet away from where she'd pushed Lily out of the way. Haruka and Michiru blinked and looked up at the daimon, who cursed and disappeared before Haruka could attack it with her keen karate moves.
Lily was quivering, but at least she knew she was okay. She looked at Nira, who was sitting next to her in pure shock. Nira's lips quivered, as if she was trying to say something. "How did you know?" Lily asked, staring at Nira, her lips frozen, now in "awe" stance. Nira cocked her head to the side and blinked for the first time in about 2 minutes.
"I saw it..."Nira replied, blinking numerous times to get rid of the stinging in her eyes from not blinking, "In a premonition." Michiru walked towards Nira, she then stopped in front of her and took out her mirror.
"Like how I look into my mirror? Did you see it through a magic item?" Michiru asked, wonder had set itself deep into her eyes. Haruka walked up behind Michiru and cocked her head to the side, wanting, too, to know how Nira did it. Nira shook her head.
"I just saw it. In my mind, kind of like when I saw images in my image ball," Nira explained, then got up from her spot on the ground and helped Lily up. Lily's eyes were a pearl color, signaling worry. Nira noticed Lily's eye color and smiled. "I'm fine, Lily. I am." Nira assured her. Lily's eyes turned back to a clear color, and began to walk towards the palace.
Haruka looked at her watch. "Well, I guess Lily has a sixth sense for when dinner's ready. I'm hungry, too," Haruka stated, following Lily. Michiru giggled and walked back to the palace after Haruka. Nira stared over at the spot where the blast had hit and frowned, then realized that the others had gone and ran after them.

After dinner, the girls went horseback riding. Each girl also had her own horse. Haruka owned a horse named Kaze, because it was the fastest of all the stable's horses, and Michiru's was called Umi, because it would communicate with fish. Lily's was called Kana, because of the various kanji markings on its legs that spelled out ancient sayings and spells, and Nira's was called Infinity, simply because of the birth mark on its forehead that resembled the sign for infinity.
The girls rode their horses to the far field, where only they could go, and talked about things and made jokes about the palace guards and other people. Haruka often would do impersonations of people, and Michiru would state about things going on the other planets. Nira often would try to teach Infinity tricks that a type of horse, called the Lippizaner, knew. But, Infinity wasn't that graceful, because he was a Paso Fino horse, so teaching him was indeed hard. Though, he did learn at least two of the tricks. Lily would often watch her try to teach Infinity how to do the various tricks and offered a lot of support and motivation.
It was getting dark, so they decided to go back to the stables, and put their horses back and then walk to the castle.
After putting back the horses, they began to walk back to the castle. "Hey Nira? Do you think you could tell me the winning lottery numbers for next week in a premonition?" Haruka joked, chuckling. Nira frowned, then her attitude set in.
"Gee Haruka, if you want 'em...you go figure 'em out!" Nira scolded loudly, using as many slang words as she could. Haruka's face went blank when she realized that Nira had practically yelled at her. Lily and Michiru were even surprised that Nira had raised her voice, since she was normally quiet and never talked back to someone who joked about her. Nira gasped, realizing what she did. "I'm sorry," Nira managed to pop out, "I'm obviously not myself today. I didn't mean to do that." Nira turned away from the others and ran away towards the castle, crying. Haruka's sad look set in as she was scolded a little by Michiru, but they continued toward the castle. Lily's eyes were a fuchsia color, signaling both hate, towards Haruka for getting Nira sad, and sadness, because she worried about Nira.
The girls reached the castle five minutes later, and Lily quickly ran inside to check on Nira. She reached Nira's room and casually walked in, finding Nira curled up on her bed, still crying. Lily ran over to her and sat down next to her and hugged her, to try and stop her crying. Nira was quivering dangerously as her body racked with crying sobs, but she soon stopped as Lily comforted her with kind words. Nira's face was red and her skin was a little puffy and her hair was a little wet from the streaming tears, but she was still fine mentally.
Michiru then walked into the room and sat down on Nira's bed. "Haruk says she's very sorry. She never thought you could react like that," Michiru explained, placing her hand on Nira's shoulder. Nira simply nodded as an apology accepted sign. Lily sighed and got up from her spot.
"Boy, am I tired. I'm going to go to bed, now. Okay, Nira?" Lily said, yawning. Nira nodded again. Michiru frowned.
"Well, I'm a little tired, too. So I guess I'll go and hit the sack, too," Michiru stated, turning around and walking towards the door, "Good night, Nira and Lily." Michiru exited the room. Lily walked towards the door, turned around and waved good night to Nira, and then she turned the light off, and walked out of the room.

The next morning all of the girls got up early and went outside for a walk in the forest. Nira had completely gotten over what had happened last night and was as cheerful as ever today. The walk in the forest seemed to be exactly what she needed to restore her full happiness.
Suddenly, Nira stopped, and the other girls turned to look at her. "What is it Nira?" Haruka asked, looking around for any danger that Nira could sense. But, she saw no danger. She saw nothing but the trees.
Suddenly, a tree moved and came forward. Then, about nine more trees moved and walked towards the girls. The trees surrounded them in a circle and their branches became vines. The vines of two trees grabbed Lily, who wasn't capable of fighting them. The other vines of the other trees caught the other girls, slamming them into their tree trunks. Haruka and Michiru fell unconscious, but Nira stayed conscious and continued to fight the vines, but it was no use. The vines came at her and wrapped dangerously around her, but they didn't strangle her or cause her to faint, that obviously wasn't their objective.
The vines holding Lily fired small lightning bolts of electricity into her for a time causing her to scream and then fall unconscious. The daimon that had first tried to blast Lily appeared and showed his true form. The darkness fell away from him and it revealed that he was a young man, of about 18 or 19 years of age. He floated in the air for a time then set down on the ground. He snapped his fingers and the vines holding Lily released her. She began to fall but he caught her. He held her gingerly in his arms, and then turned to Nira. "Hello Nira Tatsudoshi. I don't think you remember me, so I'll introduce myself,"the man declared, "I am Prince Eric. The prince of the dark moon that revolves around the Sun. I do believe that you'll remember me now if you think."
Nira's eyes darkened as she remembered Eric. He had once lived on the Sun, but he had been banished for practicing the art of dark power. Nira pitied him, he was her step-brother. "Of course I remember you. Pretty hard to forget considering I was related to you." Nira explained, smirking slightly. Eric chuckled.
"Oh yes. I must have forgotten that. Well anyway, I guess I'll clue you in on why I'm here. Long ago, I said that I would get revenge on the Sun Kingdom someday. And, this seems to be a cheerful day to do it. I've been planning my attack for years," Eric stated in his velvet voice.
Nira glared at him. "So, what does Lily have to do with it?"Nira asked in a rather loud voice, "She has nothing to do with this. She's never done anything to you."
"Oh, but she does. You see, I am going to use Lily to catch the mythic winged senshi. I only know who that is. And if you want to get your precious Lily back and find the mythic senshi then you'll have to battle me," Eric's challenge rang in Nira's ears. She wasn't going to give Lily up so she began to consider the fight. "But not here. It's too crowded here."
Eric snapped his fingers and they (including the still unconscious Haruka and Michiru) were teleported to the battle spot. It was at the top of a mountain, and there was a large cliff to her left, which was above a crevasse. "Hmm... maybe I shouldn't battle you. Maybe I should just show you who the winged senshi is," Eric exclaimed, walking over to the cliff, Lily still in his arms.
He walked to the very edge of the cliff and held Lily out over the edge. Nira's eyes widened in terror as she realized what he was going to do. She noticed that Lily was beginning to gain consciousness, as were Haruka and Michiru. Lily fully opened her eyes and turned her head to look at Eric, not realizing that he was holding her over the crevasse. Lily let out a shrill scream and rolled over only to find that she was now falling. Eric did nothing to save her as she fell or as she let out another scream while falling. He simply turned to Nira and grinned.
Nira ran towards the cliff and Eric stepped aside, knowing that she was going to try to save Lily. Nira jumped and as her foot left the edge of the cliff she found that she didn't fall. She began to soar instead. She looked back and her view was interrupted by the sight of ivory wings. She grasped a wing and realized that it was attached to her back. She was the mythic senshi with wings! She then remembered Lily and did a dive downward, getting used to controlling her wings. She reached Lily, whose eyes were wide as she saw the wings attached to Nira's back. Nira grabbed Lily's hand and her hand began to glow.
All of a sudden Lily had gained wings and Nira was falling freely without her wings. Lily fought to control the wings but they simply went upward towards safety. Nira continued to fall, tears streaming from her eyes. 'The bravest act a senshi could commit...'she thought to herself, 'is saving another senshi,' She fell faster.
Lily reached the top of the cliff and the wings disappeared from her back. She looked down but she couldn't see Nira anywhere. Lily prayed that the wings would find Nira in time. And they did.
Nira felt the wings rebind with her body and she stopped falling. Nira guided the wings back to the edge of the cliff where she was helped up by Haruka. The wings folded neatly behind her. Eric clapped his hands and walked out of the shadows. "Heh. I didn't think you could do it. I'm proud of you," Eric said sarcastically, and then fired a blast at Nira and Haruka. Nira braced herself for impact but instead she heard a shriek as Haruka got blasted trying to protect Nira. Nira and Michiru gasped.
"Haruka! Why?!" Michiru shouted with worry. Haruka sat up gingerly and grasped her side, which had been hit.
"I had to. Nira can protect us, now," Haruka replied, and then collapsed, her entire body ached from the blast. Michiru ran to Haruka and picked her up and quickly carried her away. Eric paid no attention to what Michiru was doing, his eyes only fixed on Nira, who had a look of pure terror on her face. Her expression changed to hate. He looked then at Lily, whose eyes were a blood red color, signaling hate.
Lily got up and walked to Nira and took one of her hands and looked at it. Lily mumbled something and a bright yellow crystal appeared in her hands. She handed it to Nira, who looked at it. Nira nodded also mumbled something and a golden crystal appeared in her hand.
Eric cocked an eyebrow, wondering what they were doing. His eyes opened wide and he realized they were going to try to destroy him using the two sun crystals. He felt afraid. He had heard of the power the crystals posses. He brought out his own crystal. It was called the Ataris crystal because his ancestors had traded it with the Atarisian galaxy's leader in exchange for info on how to beat the senshi. He held it up, ready to attack when Lily and Nira did.
Nira held the two crystals near each other and they both began to glow. They combined to form one crystal, the Eternal Light crystal. Lily put her hands on Nira's and concentrated her powers on the crystal, as did Nira. "ETERNAL LIGHT POWER!!" the two girls cried in unison. The crystal shot out a beam of light at Eric, who was too slow to react and both him and the Ataris crystal were destroyed.
Lily began to glow and instantly a vibrant pair of wings grew from her back. A vision of Queen Amaris appeared before the two girls. "Good job, Nira," the vision said, "Thanks to you Eric is gone and the universe is safe. Because of your efforts all senshi shall get their wings back and you and Lily will rule the Sun Kingdom together. You were both destined to. Seeing as you're both sisters. I thank you again." The vision bowed and disappeared.
Haruka and Michiru walked up. Haruka had a bandage around her waist where she had been hit and was using Michiru as support while walking. "We saw what you both did," Michiru said, "It was amazing." Michiru bowed and Haruka tried to but only winced.
Nira bowed too, as did Lily.

(One year later)
"Nira!! Where's my dress?!" Queen Lily shouted down the hall. Nira's head peeked out of her door.
"What dress?" Queen Nira asked innocently. She looked down and realized that Lily meant the dress she was wearing right now. "Oh. Heh." She shrugged and giggled.
Nira and Lily had ruled the Sun Kingdom for about one year now and they loved it. All the parties they attended, all the people they met, all the land they owned. They never forgot about Michiru or Haruka and visited them often.
Nira developed a psychic mind throughout the years and used it to predict whenever there was going to be a war or major fight. She saved everyone many times with that power because she was able to work out any problems her galaxy had with any other galaxy so war was never an option with anyone.
Lily bred horses over the years and developed a breed called the "Aramanic". The breed had long legs and large intelligent eyes. Lily also developed a love for crystals, so she was given each of the senshi crystals to keep as a birthday present.
They also never forgot about all the things they had done in the past to save and protect the universe. The senshi did get their wings back and got extra powers to use in the future. After all, since it was the "Aurora Millennium" the year 2000(the "Star Millennium") was only five millennia away and who knows what could happen then.
