Ruby May Costelloe was born 1873 in Smith River, Del Norte County, California to Peter Costelloe and Elmira Snodgrass. After her schooling in Santa Cruz, California, Ruby became a school teacher, like her father. She married Fredrick Harrison Blake on November 07, 1895 in Chetco, Curry County, Oregon. He was born December 28, 1863 in Harbor, Curry County, Oregon, and died August 26, 1927 in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon. To this union 4 children were born, Harrison, Seth, Dororthy and Howard. Ruby and her first husband, Fred Blake lived in what is now known as the Chetco Museum in Harbor, Oregon. After Fred's death Ruby married Dr. William Youngston, a pastor of the Rose City Methodist Church in Portland, Oregon. They later moved to Texas. Ruby died April 1955. |
