Lauren Costelloe
1910-1986

Lauren James Costelloe was born March 16, 1910 in Brookings, Curry County., Oregon, to Revis Costelloe and his wife Amanda Merz Costelloe.  

He married his first wife Leitha Baxter. She was born June 17, 1915. To this union 2 daughters were born, Barbara and Lauraine. 

He married Mildred Mary Merriman August 22, 1940. She was born June 17, 1913 in Madison Valley, Montana, and died September 17, 1982 in Winston, Douglas County, Oregon. To their union 1 daughter were born named Judith.

Lauren and Mildred were  writers, editors and a publishers of the magazine "Oregon Outdoors"from 1967 to 1981.  Lauren's nickname was "Digger" and his wife, Mildred went by the name "Montana".  Lauren died September 15, 1986 in Winston, Douglas County, Oregon.  Their ashes were spread on the Sourdough Camp in Curry County, Oregon.
