Eva Costelloe Gardner
1905-2002

Eva Alice Costelloe was born April 21, 1905 along the Winchuck River, Curry County, Oregon and  She was the daughter of Revis and Amanda Costelloe.  

Eva Graduated from Bandon High School in 1924, where she played center on the basketball team using men's rules.  She also studied foreign languages. She married Paul Erce Gardner December 24, 1924 in Bandon, Oregon at 4 mile ranch. He was born February 12, 1903 in Quinlan, Oklahoma, and died March 19, 1974 in Forest Grove, Oregon. To this union 4 children were born, Lyell, Marvin, and twin daughters, Lorretta, and Lynnetta.

During her life Eva was a cook in a logging camp and a dairy farmer.  She also worked for 10 years at the Tektronix company before she retired.  She was a former noble grand at the Hillsboro Rebekah Lodge and a member of Chapter 1215 Women of the Moose at the Hillsboro Moose Lodge.  Eva enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening.  She died July 4, 2002 in Forest Grove, Oregon.  She is fondly remember by many family members.
