Elmer Costelloe |
|
Elmer Revis Costelloe was born March 19, 1899 in Davenport, Washington, to Edmond Costelloe and his wife Alice Dow Costelloe. From what I have been told, Elmer's father, Edmond would make trips up to Washington to pick up a herd of wild horses. He would then break and sell them, it must have been on one of these trips up north that Elmer was born. Elmer spent most of his childhood growing up with his brother and sister on the Costelloe Ranch on the Winchuck River. He served in World War I in the US Navy and then became an electrical contractor and later flight instructor. Elmer loved to fly. He married Helen Violet Fisher January 17, 1918 in Vallejo, California. She was born August 05, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois, and died September 13, 1962 in Tacoma, Washington. They had 3 children, Hal, Alice and Doris. Elmer died October 23, 1958 in a plane crash on the beach near Wedderburn, Curry County, Oregon. |
