Ellen Angelina Ransom Lucas Brown Costelloe
1842-1916

Ellen Ransom was born February 24, 1842 in Lawrence County, Illinois to Samuel Ransom and his wife Nancy Phillips Ransom.

She married Peter Costelloe on June 25, 1884.  They made their home in Smith River, California on the 42 acres that Peter owned. To this union a son, Clinton, was born. 

 In later years and during Peter's illness they lived in Malibu California, after Peters death, she moved to a Masonic Home in Decoto, Alameda County, California where she died in Jan 1916 and was laid to rest at the Masonic Gardens in Decoto, near the Masonic Home.
