Edmond Costelloe
1876-1912

Edmond Joseph Costelloe was born February 23, 1876 in Chetco, Curry County, Oregon, to Peter Costelloe and his wife Elmira Snodgrass Costelloe.  

He married Alice Estella Dow on April 15, 1895 in Harbor, Curry County, Oregon. She was born May 10, 1876 in Healdsburg, Sonoma County, California, and died January 23, 1959 in Eureka, Humboldt County, California. 

To this union 5 children were born, Leonard, Elmer, Carl, Myrle and Joseph.  Edmond was a farmer, rancher and horse trader.  He died November 18, 1912 in Harbor, Curry County, Oregon of Tuberculosis after a lengthy illiness.  It is said that he several trips to San Francisco looking for a cure. 

 He is buried on the old homestead, near his favorite fishing spot on the Winchuck river.  His grave stone reads "Woodsman of the World"
