Family Newsletter

On the way home from the reunion, We were chatting about how it would be great to keep in better contact with the ever growing family. We came up with the idea of publishing a family newsletter.

Do you have a new baby (or grandbaby) that you would like to tell about, a story, a joke, or a memory? We would like anything you would like to share with the rest of the family. I think it would be a great way to pass on news to everyone. I thought we could try it out and see if it works, lets start with 4 times a year, if we get a good response we could publish it more often.

Reunion 2001

"And a wonderful time was had by all!" Costelloebration 2001 took place over Labor day weekend at the Sky view Ranch, home of Wayne and Colleen Krieger. People started to show up on Friday night and it was a celebration for the next three days with wonderful people, gorgeous settings, great food and lots of visiting. People came and went all day from breakfast at 9:00am until we broke up at dark.

We’d like to thank all who came, all who contributed, with food, fun, information and lots of laughs. A Big thanks to those who organized and did most of the work. A very special thanks to Colleen and Wayne for sharing so much of themselves and their home with all of us.

Family Tidbits

On the way home from the reunion, we stopped at Kerby to see the museum and go to the Laurel Cemetery. There we found Grandpa Dave Gilmore’s parents, David M. and Mary Frances Gilmore, and several others of the Gilmore family. The Cemetery grounds keeper told us that Grandpa Dave’s son, Jack Gilmore, left $7,000 to the cemetery after his death to have new bathrooms built. Now that is a Legacy!
