Typically, my rants are very structured. They are presented to the reader in italicized, pretty sections, giving a sense of security and rightness. In essence, they are organized. Today I'm gonna try something a lil different. Instead of the traditional "grouping by subject", I'm going to merely rant on tangent. Try to keep up with me here.

Overall, this week sucked. In fact, the very reason that this update came after such a drought (ten days! Did you miss me?) was because there was truly so little to write about. My laziness ebbed out as a mellowness overcame the school academically. Everyone crammed before midyears, and when midyears arrived, there were three days of emptiness, of academic worthlessness, followed by one of the least fun long weekends of the school year thus far.

There was a Jerry test on Wednesday, and it sucked. Jerry obsessively shoved on questions like "Which of the traits do Huck and Jim not share?" Fortunately, due to incompetence, his other Mark Twain-related test was delayed multiple times in the name of unpreparedness. Today, Jerry intelligently managed to leave the quiz at home; as a result, it's being pushed back till Friday. A week's delay? Typical of Jerry. Moronic, subjective questions? Typical Jerry. Working with Jiang on an in-class Jerry essay? Whoa, dawg. A bright spot in the dark abyss of English class.

Speaking of Jerry, Thursday was surprisingly Jerryless. Class was spent on counseling activities. Apparently I'm personality type "ESTA", and according to the poll, one eighth of everyone has similar groupings. A pathetic taxonomy, but regardless, fresh break from confinements of Jerry.

*stops updating for 20 minutes*

Stupid Dial-Up... and Stupid ADD... and Stupid Chem. That aside, the academic week's main disaster was the central figure itself. Presumed a lock, the Trig midyear somehow, inexplicably became an 88. Don't ask me what the hell went wrong. Just know that something did. It was quite the failure. Chem is somewhat of a redeeming class. A 51/55 was solid, and while it would be appreciated in almost any other case [Lab grade, anyone?!], here it is virtually null and void. Speaking of null and void, I also had an AE Bio test a week ago, which in typical Chartier fashion, hasn't been returned due to stupidity of my peers.

Finally, French is actually progressing now. Time to buckle down and bien etudier, if you know what I'm saying. Heh, heh.

The weekend didn't treat me well. Monday, our day off, was plagued by the existence of my dad, which, as one can imagine, left a bittersweet taste in my mouth. Though, we ate out - a rarity for myself - and planned on seeing National Treasure. It was sold out. A movie that came out two months ago sold out on a Monday. If that's not messed up...

Have I mentioned Asian parents? Monday, supposedly a day for relaxation, a day of male bonding. This does not include Asian parents. Or Asian parties. *vomits* Indeed, apparently Acton is the exception. I believed that Asians weren't inferior as an overall race. My experiences outside of Acton beg to differ. Stuckup? Self-absorbed? Ugly? You name it, you got it.

Once again, this week basically sucked.. Expect something more next time, when I start Metal Gear Solid.
