Pens

A sharpened stick can be used as an ink stylus. If you can find a feather, or a small piece of bamboo, sharpening one end will make a quill like pen.
Each of these pens is used by dipping the point into an ink bottle, writing until the ink runs out, and dipping it back into the ink bottle.

Markers

Materials:
1 stick with a hollowed out portion on one end
        cotton
        absorbant cloth
        string

Pack the cotton into the hollow end of the stick. The cotton
should be packed tight, and there should be some cotton
protruding from the end.

Wrap the cloth around cotton filled end, tying it on tightly with the string.

When using the marker, dip it into ink of the desired color and use
Paintbrushes

Feathers and sponges make good paintbrushes. If a plant is fibrous enough, you can chew or pound on its stem to make a stiff bristled brush. Animal
hair or hair extension hair can also be tied to a stick to form a paintbrush
