It is believed that Miniature Pinschers share the English black and tan terrier heritage with Doberman and German Pinschers. However they are a distinct breed with separate characteristics, history, standards and needs. Miniature Pinschers are NOT a scaled down version of either of the other Pinscher breeds!
The MinPin is a fearless watchdog with the confidence of a Rottweiler. They meet larger dogs as equals, not backing down and not showing fear. They generally select one human member of the family with which to bond and simply tolerate the rest. Miniature Pinschers are beautiful and fun dogs to have and love!
