SIBERIAN HUSKY CLUB OF QUEENSLAND
Affiliated with the Canine Control Council ( Queensland )
RESCUE
We wish to emphasise that if you are thinking of getting a Siberian Husky, please have the realisation that they will be a part of your life for the next 10-15 years. Please consider carefully the breed characteristics and your lifestyle before committing to purchase, otherwise your ill-informed decision may result in an unwanted Siberian Husky.
The Siberian Husky Club of Queensland provides
a basic Rescue Service for rehoming of unwanted Siberian Huskies.
Our basic service consists of keeping a register of dogs
available for adoption and a list of people wishing to adopt,
and putting those people in touch.
Unfortunately, we do not offer pound or RSPCA held huskies a
service. We would need to purchase these dogs out of the pound/RSPCA,
supply temporary housing for them, and then find them a home.
This is currently not an option for our Club.
Please also Note that we are only able to assist rehoming dogs currently resident in the state of Queensland, Australia.
If you're thinking of taking in an unwanted
Siberian Husky, please complete the following form.
Every effort will be made to match your requirements with those
of available rescue dogs.
** I am wanting to adopt a Siberian Husky **
We are only able to assist rehoming dogs currently resident in Queensland.
We do not house the dog during the search for a new home.
We make every effort to find unwanted Siberians a new loving, life-long home. To achieve this we match characteristics of the rescue dog with the requirements of the prospective owner.
You will need to call us to discuss your dog's rehoming and provide us with information about your dog so that we can profile it for prospective matches. We will need to discuss the following at a minimum; be prepared with answers before calling.
Please call Darrin on (07) 5426-4999; alternatively you may prefer to make initial contact via e-mail at [email protected]
