The SweetHearts opened the game with two runs in the bottom of the first and then made then stand up as Jessica Webb and Tristin Hager combined to pitch a two-hit shut out over the Aces Wednesday. The win ups the SweetHearts' record to 4-0.
Webb opened the game with five strike outs in the first eight batters before turning the game over to Hager. In the top of the first Chelsea got a single and stole second before Tristin added a run-scoring base hit. Lynnly followed with a hit to deep right-centerfield to score Tristin. Lynnly was then thrown out at the plate trying to stretch her triple to an inside-the-park homerun.
The remainer of the game became a pitcher's duel. Neither team could get anything going as good base hits were erased by good defensive plays. The SweetHearts will be back in action next Wednesday when they face the Bayou Blasters.
