This game the pitching was on target and our catching settled down as Ashley Person stepped in behind the plate and did a great job. Tristan Hager would have a great night facing 19 batters, allowing no runs and no hits with three walks and seven strike outs.

The Hearts opened with a four run first inning and then held on to take the game 6-0 in five innings. Ashley Preson scored the first run of the season for the SweetHearts on a wild pitch. Caitlin Watzlavik picked up two runs batted in on her two out single in the first.

 The SweetHearts (1-1) look forward to their next game this Wednesday against the team they have practiced with for the past four weeks, the Baseburners (1-0)
