SweetHearts vs Lady Krush

This started out to be a real friendly game between two coaches that were playing the game "for fun". The first two innings looked like a real close game just the way everyone wanted it. The things fell apart for the SweetHearts as the game went on.

First Inning: The SweetHearts changed the batting lineup tonight to feature players to normally only get one "at bat" a game. The lineup didn't produce like it was thought. The SweetHearts went four batters and three outs with only Terrah getting a walk. Strike outs and pop-ups took the 'Hearts out of the game quickly. However, Micaela came to the mound and the SweetHearts looked like last year's team getting three outs in three batters with a popup to Terrah at first base, a hit to Sammie at short stop with a toss out, and a popup to Shelby at third.  A 0-0 inning had not been seen all year for the 'Hearts and things were looking bright.

Second Inning: In the second Micaela lead off with a smash hit to center for an easy home run. Autumn got on with a walk but ran into an out at third as the inning ended before it got much farther. Micaela went back to the mound to produce a good inning allowing just one run on a walk  and a hit batter. Suddenly the game looked real good with the score tied at one-all.

Third Inning: The next inning saw the SweetHearts get three outs in just four batters as a result of the weak line-up. Suddenly the coaches were second guess the line up changes. The bottom of the third was where it all fell apart. After just four batters Micaela had walked two and got two to pop-up for outs. Suddenly she and several team-mates thought it was three outs and began to walk off the field allowing the current Krush base runner to "freely" score. The coaches and umpires tried to explain that there was only two outs and the free runner 'did' score. From that point on the game fell apart as the next eight runners walked on both Micaela and Alexis. The Krush had scored six more runs to take a 7-1 lead.

Fourth Inning: With time running out the 'Hearts made a valiant attempt at a comeback as Freja got a hit followed by Micaela's second inside the park, to-the-fence home run.  However from there Savannah's weak hit to first, followed by Autumn and Alexis' strike outs closed out the game. The final score was 7-3 in favor of Lady Krush.
