SweetHearts vs Cajun Twisters

This game had all the makings of a great one as two teams that knew each well faced off game one of the 2003 summer season. Pitcher Meghan McLendon held the Tweisters to no runs in the top of the first while the SweetHearts batted the roster scoring six runs. The second brough more of the same as the Twisters managed just one baserunner in four batters.

The second inning for the 'Hearts meant another five runs bring the score after two to 11-0. The Twisters could only get three batters to the plate. A change in pitchers for the Twisters slowed the 'Hearts batters down. One one run crosed the plate for the SweetHearts. In the fourth the Twisters put togther a hit batter, a base on balls, and two wild pitches to break up Meghan's shutout. The SweetHearts pounded out four more runs in the bottom of the fourth to end the game at 16-1.

The SweetHearts pitcher, Meghan, managed on 3 K's while the 'Hearts batters rolled up 21 hits and 2 walks.
