SweetHearts vs The Renegades

It seems that rain or shine the outcome of the game doesn’t change. The SweetHearts faced a new team and the game results were the same when it was all over.

First Inning: The SweetHearts began the game the same as last game by batting first since they knew what would happen if they were home team. The Hearts began the game with three runs as two batters were ‘hit-by-pitches’. Alexis began the game by getting hit and later scoring. She was followed by Terrah’s walk and Micaela’s being hit. Both scored later. Micaela scored on a strange steal of home while the catcher still had the ball.

As the ‘Hearts took the field the luck ran out as Micaela walked the first six batters and giving up six runs. Alexis came in to pitch striking out the first batter she faced before adding seven more walks. She managed to get a bunt and throw the runner out at first to end the inning.

Second Inning: The second inning saw the SweetHearts go down without a fight as a series of walks; strike outs, dinky hits, and slow-running steals got nothing.  In the field the Renegades took the batters box but only one more run as Alexis and Michaela combined to get two strike outs and a little hit back to the pitcher.

Third Inning: As time was running out the SweetHearts took the field and managed to get Micaela’s inside the park throw-away home run after her dinky hit was over thrown to first and she outran the plays by scoring just ahead of the throw. Time ran out leaving the SweetHearts down 4-12 in the end.
