This was not the same game as last Monday night. This time Meghan brought her "A" game and held the Base Burners to just two runs over five innings.

The Base Burners scored their lead-off batter in the first inning before the SweetHearts closed them down with a routine play at first, a popup to the shortstop, and a strike out. It the bottom of the inning took the lead for good with a walk to Claire and a triple by Caitlin.

Meghan then went out and stuck out five of the next nine batters while the 'Hearts managed three runs in the second and one in the third. This upped the lead to 6-1.

As the Burners got more and more frustrated when their heavy hitters only produced one more run in the fourth. The SweetHearts added one run in the bottom of the fourth before the Base Burner's Kristen shut down them down. 

Meghan then returned the favor by striking out the first Base Burner batter in the top of the fifth. She then got the next batter to pop out to third. She then took the next batter to a full count before she fired one past her to complete the game.

The SweetHearts celebrated the season by finishing with a 9-4-1 record. The players then finished off their coach with a water pistol soaking.
