SweetHearts vs Cajun Twisters

With the season winding down the SweetHearts were looking to make a good showing in the last two games of the season. Expecting to finally have their full team back on the field they were disappointed when their #1 catcher failed to show or call. Katie, who had been filling in very admirably was called on again to be behind the plate.

The 'Hearts began slow scoring only one run in the top half of the first inning when Katie scampered across the plate on a wild pitch. The bottom half of the inning saw things fall apart fast as the Twisters scored nine runs off Mary and Brandy's pitching. Both pitchers were giving up solid hits combined with untimely walks.

The second and third innings were not much different with the SweetHearts getting a total of five more runs while giving up eight. They 'Hearts now stand at 4-9 on the season with one game to go. Katie lead the team at the plate with two hits, followed with one hit each by Amberly, Brandy, Alyssa, and Tori.
