Again the SweetHearts came up short of their regular players when Grace didn't show for the game. This forced Katie back into the role of catcher and put Brandy on the mound. The 'Hearts opened the game like gang-busters scoring seven straight runs following Mary's opening strike out. Brandy went to the mound and only gave up three runs in six batters.

The Hearts then trotted back to the plate and score another seven runs to take a commanding lead. The BaseBurners could only get two runs across as Mary had the best night of pitching this season only facing five batters. In the third the hearts went down quickly following a bang-bank double play and strike out. The Burners again struggled against Mray's pitching as she held them to just two runs to end the game 14-7 in favor of the SweetHearts. The 'Hearts are now 4-8 on the season with two games to go.
