SweetHearts vs Lady Astros

When you give up eleven runs in the top of the first inning you know it will be a very, very long night. However, the SweetHearts came back strong and scored six runs of their own on four hits and five walks to make the game a little more interesting.

The 'Hearts held the Lady Astros to just four runs in the second while picking up six more of their own to close the gap to 15-12. The Lady Astros began to worry.

The third inning saw the Astros only pick up one run giving the SweetHearts the break they had been waiting for. However, the SweetHearts came up empty handed. With game time left the 'Hearts managed to get another inning in under the time limit.

As the SweetHearts returned to the field you could see all the energy had left the team. They were lifeless as two of the first three batters were walked and scored. Coach Greg realized that we would be just giving up runs for no reason and he asked the umpires to call the game, ending it with an 18-12 count.
