SweetHearts vs Cajun Twisters
Tuesday, June 15, 2004 - F13 - 7:15pm - Game #323

Pitching again became the downfall of the ‘Hearts. Dana began pitching and walked three of the first four batters. She was pulled for Tori C. who then walked two of the next four batters to allow the Cajun Twisters to score three runs.

The SweetHearts began the game with the first four batters scoring runs. Cherrie, Tori M., Dana, and Natalie used base running skills along with timely hits to get the fans excited in hopes of a repeat playing performance of last night.

Poor pitching in the top of the second allowed the Twisters to get the upper hand with four more runs on four walked after the ‘Hearts had two outs on the board. The bottom half of the SweetHearts lineup could only produce one run on the great running of Amberly.

In the third pitching collapsed completely as the ‘Hearts began trying anyone who might be able to pitch. Seven walks in ten batters produced seven runs for the Twisters as they took a 14-5 lead. The bottom of the third saw the ‘Hearts gain some ground back as they scored five runs including Natalie’s fourth homerun tying her for third place all-time in HR’s for the SweetHearts.

The ‘Hearts dropped to 4-6 with the loss.
