At game time the SweetHearts had only 8 players, enough to at least start the game and play 2 1/2 innings before they would have to forfeit if the nineth player did not show. The Base Burners had only six players. They had to forfeit - but to a team that didn't have nine players? Who won - if any? That's why the "?"

With only 14 players between them playing a real game was out of the question. However, the two teams did get to play a two inning "game" of sorts. Leslie and Brittany, the umpires, agreed to help the girls by calling a shortened game ~ THANKS!

At this point in the season, the 'Hearts have 'played' only five full games in nine games scheduled. We are keeping our fingers crossed that we will have enough players of our own just to complete the season. Hurry back, Lynnly! - We need you!
