SweetHearts vs Dynamite
Monday, June 18, 2007 - F14 - 5:30pm -part of a double header - Game #358

       The rain stayed away and we we able to play both parts of our double header against the Dynamite. The team picked up their hitting madness right where they left off the other night.

First Inning: The first game saw the SweetHearts as the home team and Taylor worked her magic on the mound. She only had to face four batters as her fielders gave her all the back up she needed and shut the Dynamite down in just four batters. It looked like there might be a little trouble for the 'Hearts as they managed on one run in the bottom of the first after Megan and Jeannette made the first two outs.

Second Inning: Taylor wasn't anymore forgiving in the second inning as she faced only four batters before coming back to the dugout.. Her fielders were magnificent catching popups and slow grounders to make every play look effortless. By the second inning the 'Hearts got rolling as Terrah started things off with a hit followed by Leah, Taylor and back to the top of the order. When all was finished the SweetHearts had tallied 17 runs and batted through the order twice.

Third Inning: Taylor left no doubt in anyone's mind that she was on her game as she closed out the Dynamite's chances with another four-up three-down. The Sweethearts run-ruled the 'mites by getting two more runs in the inning to end the game with a 20-0 shutout. The game saw it's share of homeruns, triples and doubles as the 'Hearts had a total of ten hits and 13 walks with only two strikeouts. Taylor faced only 12 batters giving up one hit and getting four strikeouts in the win to take the SweetHearts to an 8-1 record.
