There exist some thinkers who influenced my life a lot. When I was in guidance school I used to read sci-fi books. As far as I remember my first sci-fi book was “The Tripods” series by XXX. Then I found Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clarke. Asimov’s series about robots, especially 'Foundation', was wonderful. The 2001 & 2010 Odyssey books of Clarke were also impressive for the imagination of a computer mind called HAL.

All these backgrounds led me to the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) where I was introduced to the greatest thinkers I have ever known. The first surely was great Alan Turing who is known (by many) as the founder & father of AI.

Marvin Minsky is another great thinker in AI. You need to read only one of his books and you will acknowledge his novel and profound thoughts about AI.

There many other outstanding scientist in AI (to name a few, John McCarty, Doug Lenat and ...) who have spent their lives for the advancement of AI which in turn enhances the quality of life of human beings.
