Drakkin Empire of Enzan Shi

Move to Enzan Shi

"So, Lantio, what do you think?" Coiar asked, dumping a pile of gold and jewels on the table.

"Better ask Ten'oio, not me." The other vampire answered, his blue eyes gleaming at the sight of so much money.

"Ask Ten'oio what?" Aikanaro asked, walking up.

Both lowest ranking vampires jumped when Ten'oio's second spoke behind them. Coiar covered his prizes with the bag again. "If I got enough loot." He answered, showing Aikanaro the bag-full of gold and jewels.

The vampire grinned. "She'll be pleased." He answered and gently pushed the lowest-ranking vampire towards their leader's study.

Rusv smirked as he walked past Coiar. "She's in a right temper." He commented as he walked past. "Good luck."

Naar was leaning against the wall, watching the outer wall. "I don't like living in a run down place when light could come in a scorch us all in a second." He complained.

This was normal around the rundown mansion and nobody was surprised by his complaint. In fact, other vampires were beginning to agree with him.

Nondar, Hest, Tyel and Demadir all nodded. Nondar pulled his cloak closer around him. "I don't see why we stay here. There're no caves left on this planet and we've gotten rid of most of the other species. I say we kill them all, steal their riches and leave this gods forsaken land." He hissed.

Hest nodded proudly. "Aye." He said.

Tyel smirked and went to the ricketty outside wall. He poked it and it rattled. Demadir glared at him. "Stop that, Tyel, or do you want to roast?" He snapped.

"Just proving a point." Tyel answered.

"Point proved." Amarth said crossly and dragged Tyel away from the precarious wall.

Gurth was loungeing in a chair nearby. "Sometimes I envy those others." He said softly.

"What? The fact they can go outside after dawn?" Udun asked.

"Obviously." Tamip answered. "Imagine it, being immortal and not risking death by going outside."

Dagor took a blanket off his head as he entered through the door. "I swear, dawn comes so much faster in winter." He said, tossing the blanket on the floor.

"What you got?" Cebir asked.

"Stuff from the lords." Dagor answered. "Got rid of two more this night, so I got a lot of loot. Ehtar and Hyatser have got the rest."

"You killed them? Why not Hyatser?" Aikanaro inquired surprisedly.

"'Cause Hyatser sprang an alarm and had to get rid of the guards." Ehtar answered, pulling another blanket off his head.

"Idiot." Dagor said harshly.

"Yeah, I know." Hyatser answered, coming in behind the lower-ranking vampires.

"Any shifters still here?" Ehtar asked.

"Nope, all gone with the dawn." Rusv answered.

"Where's the boss?" Lantio asked, looking up from a book he had lifted.

"In her office and in a mighty temper." Rusv and Coiar answered, the latter coming out from said office.

"She won't be when we're done." The three newly returned vamps announced and strode into Ten'oio's office.

Aikanaro stretched out on a couch and waited for Ten'oio to announce her plans. He knew she was planning something and this had her in an annoyed state. Probably because her plan was forced by the shifters.

When the three vampires emerged from the office, their egos were deflated. Dagor looked frustrated. "I don't see why she's still annoyed." He told the others.

Ten'oio followed him, fuming. "Because the shifters demand that we get rid of the rest of the humans and leave here." She snapped.

"So?" All eighteen vampires asked.

"I hate the idea of just leaving here." She growled. "Especially if it's their idea."

Aikanaro raised an eyebrow. "I think they're right, Ten'oio." He said. "We've nearly sapped this planet dry. Let's kill the rest - or enslave them - and take their loot. Then we can go where our ancestors went, the Mountain Cave City."

Immediate silence met his words. However, Ten'oio nodded. "Alright, when the shifters get back I'll tell them the plan. Tonight, kill or enslave the rest and take everything. Money, golds, jewels and all other kinds of loot will come to our advantage."

The vampires got to work clearing all the shadowed rooms of things. The loot and all non-immediately useful items went into thickly lined bags. Personal items went into smaller bags and were guarded jealously.

When the shifters got back, Ten'oio set them to work and went out with the vampires. They returned with the dawn with all the loot of all the humans left alive. It was rather easy since they were mages and all. So, they packed what was left of their belongings.

"Everyone ready?" Ten'oio called at about mid-day.

It took ten minutes for all of the others to come back to the main room with all the loot. The stronger mages linked together - though Ten'oio herself stayed seperate of the link - and formed a portal to their new home. Then the shifters shifted back to their animal forms and the vampires put most of the bags on their over-sized backs. The vampires then grabbed what was left and carried that across the portal with the shifters. The portal-formers followed and the portal shut with a slicing sound.

They were in a large cavern with no light shining. Ten'oio smiled and lit mage-lights. "Well, it seems we found our new Mor Vanim." She announced.
