Drakkin Empire of Enzan Shi

Runyar's Success

Walking into the breeding barn with the other buyers, the cougar-shifter looked instinctively at the drakkinlings. They were a ferocious bunch, fighting constantly. They all had bloodied muzzles and scratches all over their bodies from their rough play.

Their mother looked harassd as she tried to keep them from coming to serious harm. He did not hear Inrahi's beginning speech, he was too occupied with watching the little creatures. So vicious, yet so powerful and cunning. He smiled slightly, no wonder his sister was so obsessed with them.

When Inrahi finished, the mother picked up the bronze drakkin and carried him to the Lord Atari. As soon as she left, the blue snarled and pounced on one of his red brothers. The black female returned and picked up one of the reds, carrying him to his owner. She then returned and lifted up the blue, placing him before Runyar.

The blue then proceeded to rub his bloodied head all over his trainer. Inwardly, the cougar-shifter groaned as such would cause trouble with the local police. However, he rubbed the vicious blue's hide between his horns. "You are going to be a challenge to raise, aren't you, Run'nytra?" He asked, keeping the traditional Khila Silae Dungortheb naming pattern.

The last red went to the last buyer and Inrahi bade them farewell. Runyar noted the exhausted and relieved sigh from the mother and smiled slightly. He, for one, was not too eager to have a female around. A female meant tension which meant less unity. It also meant cubs, and they were not prepared for that.

So he lead Run'nytra home, stopped by no less than five patrols, with such thoughts pooling in his mind. He hoped that they would acquire enough drakkin to be able to protect themselves should they be discovered. Kayun had two, but if he was discovered he would be attacked by Helevorn and Yaaven, such was certain.

Runyar grinned. Though Yaaven might think that Nondar would side with him, such was untrue. Nondar loathed Ten'oio as much as - if not more than - Runyar himself. Therefore, Nondar would follow Kayun and Sanye to the resistance when the time was right.

He nodded to himself. They would survive, he knew it. Run'nytra was more ferocious than Hele'nysar or Yaasiun, and Kay-chak and Kay-chatos were powerful forces as well. They would last long enough to reach the Deragonray with a force of drakkin unseen before. And Ten'oio would be powerless to stop them.
