| August 8, 2002 - Daddy was home when I woke up today. Dad said he saw Grandpa Shaw and Great Grandma Shaw. He was just as surprised as she was to see one another. He gave me a kiss from her. Then we played all morning. After that, we took another nap. After lunch we took Dad to drop off his car. That was a fun ride. I saw more airplanes! Grandma and Grandpa Wolfe sent hugs and kisses. That's what Mom said. I just think she wanted an excuse to bear hug me some more. Mom says I'm starting to get dimples. Mostly when I laugh or smile big. Dad says it's just fat creases. Mom and I got a postacrd that Dad sent while he was in Chicago. It was real pretty. Had a bunch of tall buildings on it. Mom and Dad put me in my bouncy on their bed. They love making noise with me. I sure am making those lights and music go off! August 20, 2002 - I've really been moving alot lately. I've got my arms and legs just moving all about. Dad says my legs move so fast he just wants to put me upright and let me run! Mom bought me some more cloths. Really cool. She said she would take my picutre in them real soon. The last two nights I've sleep right through the night. Mom put me down around 9:00pm and I wasn't back up till 6:00 am. Mom and Dad put me on my side now. I guess that helps me sleep longer. Whatever works says Dad. September 4, 2002 - I went to the doctor's today because my right eye is watering. Mommy thought it might be due to an ear infection. The doctor said that my ears are fine. It could just be a clogged tear duct. The nurse weighed me, and I weigh 16 lbs 11 oz. Daddy was rough housing with me after I just ate, so when he went to kiss me, I spit up in his mouth. Mom laughed. September 6, 2002 - My eye is still watery and now I have a cold. I'm congested and coughing. The nurse recommended that mommy and daddy get me a humidifier and have me sleep sitting up. So I'm sleeping in my car seat in bed with mommy. I'm clasping my hands together now. And, I can rub my eyes. My muscle control is a lot better. I still don't like being on my tummy, but I'm working on holding my head up on my own. September 11, 2002 - Well, I wasn't feeling too hot. Not too much better now. I have a cold and Mom's been feverously sucking the snot out. I even have to sleep inclined and I have a humidifier now too! I think I'm getting better. Kind of ruined the sleeping all night thing. I just met the neighbor's kid down the road. He is older then me. He's 7 months and 19lbs. I'l be twice that when I'm 7 months...WOW, I'm big! Anyhow, he was neat. He didn't talk either. September 14, 2002 - Today started early. Dad had some friends over at 10:00 this morning. We all had breakfest, but I feel back to sleep. They talk all day and watched some video tapes. When lunch came, Dad grilled a lot of hotdogs. We all eat a bunch. Then we went for a long ride. We stopped at a shooting range. Mom and Dad are taken lessons. It was really neat. I sat in this room where it sounded like smal pops. It was not loud at all. Dad and Mom had to wear ear plugs where they were going. Must have been really loud in there. I didn't go there. Mom and Dad switched back and forth on watching me. They said there were having lots of fun. And because of that, I was having lots of fun when they swtched to watch me. It was really long and fun day. When we drove home it was bed time. WOW, the whole day just slipped by. September 21, 2002 - We went to a consignment sale and garage sale hopping today. Mommy and daddy bought me some osh kosh outfits, a walker, and a really cool fabric tractor book. I really love the book. It has big puffy wheels. My eyes light up every time I see it. September 22, 2002 - I'm 4 months old today!!! I am feeling much better now. No more congestion or watery eyes. I'm still not sleeping through the night. We went to the mall today. It was a lot of fun. September 27, 2002 - I went to the doctors today for my 4 month check up. Here is my information: Weight: 18 lbs 2 oz - 90% Height: 25 1/2 inches - 75% Head Circ: 42 cm - 50% Everything looked good, according to the doctor. The doctor said that mommy and daddy can start feeding me solid food now. I got four shots too. I was not happy about that, but daddy held me and got me calmed down. We went for a drive after that, and I fell asleep. When I woke up, I forgot all about the shots. |
