FUN WITH VOLUME With your group members, make a shape on the cm2 paper. It can be any shape at all, regular or irregular. Write down the volume in your column, but keep it a secret. When
you are finished, go to the different groups according to the next number
after your group number. Try to estimate the volume of the shape that group
created, and then measure using your centimeter cubes. Mark
your estimates and measurements in the table below.

FUN WITH VOLUME: THE
SEQUEL! On your table you will find a number of boxes. Look at the boxes, study them closely; how can you figure out the volume of each box? Use the centimeter cubes to fill 1
layer of the box, but do not add any more cubes. About how many cubes do you
think can fit into each box? Why do you think that? Which box do you think
holds the most cubes? Explain your thinking.
Now,
try to figure out the actual volume of each box in any way you can. Don’t
forget that volume is in three-dimensions (length, width, and height). Box
