Raptors Run Out Of Steam An injury-riddled Raptors roster held tough with the Wizards in Washington on Tuesday but appeared to run out of steam in the fourth quarter. Toronto was totally dominated on the glass all night and eventually fell, 99-94. 6/Feb
Raptors Win in a close one vs. the 76ers The last time Vince played in Philadelphia against the Sixers, he missed a shot at the buzzer that would have sent the Raptors to the Eastern Conference finals. This time, he would make sure that it wouldn't even come down to that. Vince led Toronto with 28 points and more importantly, he got to the foul line 13 times, which means he was finally taking the ball to the hole more and drawing the foul. The Raptors led by as much as 15 in the third quarter, but Iverson brought the Sixers back with 32 points of his own. But it wasn't quite enough. 6/Feb

And the Streak Goes On Toronto led by three points after three quarters, but Orlando stormed back in the final period as the Raptors lost their ninth in a row, 90-85, Wedneday at Air Canada Centre. Vince Carter scored 22 points for the Raptors, who shot just 39 percent from the field and went 3-for-12 from long range. Odd breakdowns in the fourth quarter were the biggest reason why Toronto wasn't able to halt its skid. More 28/Feb

Well, the Raptors lost another one as Dallas handily defeated them 122-103...that's thirteen games in a row, and this team is in serious trouble! Here's something else to think about. In all thirteen of those games, Vince hasn't dunked once. Yeah, yeah, there's been some injury excuse, but he COULD dunk. I think that it just shows that Vince isn't taking this team on his shoulders. Whether he likes it or not, this team feeds off him. If Vince isn't in the game physically and mentally, then the team struggles. After tonight's loss the Raptors called a team meeting. You know who called this meeting? Jerome Williams...where's Vince? 8/Mar
Rovell: Mass appeal When Vince Carter signed a contract extension through the 2007-08 season with the Raptors last August, some sports marketing analysts shook their heads. If Vince wanted to be a high-profile athlete endorser, they said, he'd have to play in the United States. On March 2, shoe giant Nike began a large-scale campaign to prove those naysayers wrong. One month after Carter re-signed with the Raptors, Nike signed the forward to a multi-year deal reportedly worth $15.5 million. Carter's Nike Shox VC, which sell for $160 a pair, hit stores March 2. "We're using Vince more than any other Nike basketball player that has had their own shoe, with the exception of Michael Jordan," said Eric Oberman, Nike basketball spokesman. "Not only does he demand a signature shoe, but we're ready to build a franchise around him." 8/Mar

Victory! Toronto's losing streak is finally over as the Raptors recorded an 83-74 win over the Heat on Friday night in Miami. Antonio Davis sparked the squad with 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Vince Carter chipped in with 16 points. With the 13-game skid now behind them, the Raptors look to get back into the Eastern Conference playoff hunt Sunday against the Magic in Orlando. 9/Mar
