One Wish continued...(Last part)

The Doctor and his friend, Phil, barely noticed that the young girl had left their presence, until she jumped the fence with a loud thud on the dry brittle leaves scattered across the forest floor.  They took to the chase, but neither was thin or athletic, and so their objective outran them by some distance.  Chest heaving, they found her, sitting as if she were meant to be there, on a tall outcropping just outside the tide line.  In came the swirling waters of the sea and further and further away the little girl seemed to go, out into the ocean, as the ocean swam up behind her resting body.  Soon, the water had pushed the two friends back several yards as they struggled in vain to gain attention of the young girl.
I know theyre out there, on shore, screaming for me, but you wont let them take me, will you mother?  I never did anything wrongdid I?  I was a good little girl and made my wishI cant tell you what it is, mother, you know that.  If I tell, then it wont come true.  You were so nice to come to my rescue mother, I thought that they would get here and take me away. I hate the Micheals, you do too? Oh, good, thats a relief.  Why did you leave me? Why didnt you take me with, when you left?
Oh, Mother! How you dare say something so horrible, I always want to be with you, I never want you to leave me.  What do you mean, you cant take me with you?  ButWell, I thought that you could, I wished for oh, never mind.
Dont you care what I wished for mother?  You cant take me with you?  No tears, tears are for the weak, you were made to be strong, no tears, you promised Mother, you said that if I made a wish and didnt tell, that it would come true, you promised
The two people on shore stared, bewildered at the sight of the chills, standing now screaming obscenities out over the water, reaching down to slap the water.  They cringed in fear and simultaneously reached out to grab her as a wave rushed up and pulled her off the rock that served as her throne.  A slight ripple and a few bubbles from beneath the surface sufficed to mark the young girls death.  The two people on shore wept.
Thank you mother, I knew youd take me with youif I wished.  Now we can be together forever.  Only one wish a year, one wish one wish one wish, this year they came true.
