| On August 26 , 2001 I packed the car and set out on an adventure that I had been saying I would do since I set foot in Japan. I had heard many things about climbing the most beautiful sight in Japan. I heard things like "oh its very easy ,no challenge at all", or "two people died on the mountain last year" I heard it all. I even heard that people were carrying their mountain bikes to the summit and riding down the face of the loose lava rock face. Just in case I took my Bike along. Anyway I had decided to go it alone rather than with someone. Mostly to save face if I could not make it. Did not really know what to expect. |
