Sleep devours me as I slumber in my bed
Figments and figures reoccur through my empty head
Sights and sounds, and those unheard dreams
Ended in fright, by the thunderous screams

Wake up in the darkness, drenched in sweat
Too much to process, too much to get
In the end, the thoughts drift to the beyond
No longer in your dreams; they are gone

Until you sleep and dream once more
Enticed by the spiritual ghostly folklore
Haunted into your scattered brain
There is nothing more to gain

Voices speak out from the blackened skies
Until you follow, and the lightness dies
Calling out from beyond the grave
No longer helping those who save
The Devoured Darkness
