The emergencies happen, in the least favourable time,
in which we can only think of slamming our feet on the breaks.
The stop sign you flew past,
meant to be there for a time of ease and rest,
only to be ran and causing issues in our mind.

The seatbelt wrapped around us as we pull out
into the middle of the road, helping keep us safe and sane.
The cops arrive, checking to see if we are alright
and to punish us for our misjudgment or
failing to see our stop signs in life.

The tank, leaking and burning our gas to go on,
needs to be refilled, or we may stall out.
Lights are turned on during the late night sky as
our hazard lights shine to signal for our help.
The few kind drivers are no where in sight.

Finally a fellow friend arrives to help
the situation at hand, to help us with our broken-down car.
As the gas is refilled, you feel energized and yourself yet
again. As we start the engine, we know to get anywhere
down the lengthy highway, we must get out of park.
