As he spoke the words to the friend that had helped him through it all, he knew he should not have done so. Slowly, the mumbles he slowly strung out of his feeble mind seemlessly flew from his mouth, digging the hole deeper than it had ever been. The truth from his heart had finally revealed itself, as it seemed to find his coffin covered in the top soil from the worn earth. The eyes of his friend focused on his own, with a powerful look of what seemed to be compasion, yet full of the screaming agony that grew within. The man he had grown to know, slowly it seemed to regress back to the child from his early years remembered, as the golden tears fell from his burned cheeks to frozen dirt of the earth. Their hearts pounding, the akward silence stretched out for the precious seconds of their lifes, it was slowly broken with sobs of anger flowing from the heart of his only true friend. He made a feeble attempt to speak more useless and unbearable words, but in doing so, his friend slowly felt as if the wretched dagger that had been stabbed into his back had finally struck him in his sacred heart, as his punisher slowly twisted the dagger so. His lips pressed together, ready to speak the mercy upon his companion he had know for so long as a true friend, slowly stopped, as he collapsed to his knees, as his soiled tears that had been tainted from his tarnished soul, crept down his pale, bloodless cheeks. He glanced skyward at this moment, making eye contact with the hazel eyes of his friend for the last time, wondering if he had truly lost his best friend over nothing.
