Home
Well hello again....you all still here?  *smiles*
The warming days of Spring have prompted me to once again update thiese pages , just in case anyone actually READS what I write here.  Sometimes pure genius can be derived from the utterances of a madman...so pay attention and you MIGHT just get something from all of this if you aren't really careful, ok?
     In news from home...
Scott and I are still together.   It has had it's challenging moments...for both myself AND for Scott.  Learning to live and love together in such close quarters can be an experience for even the more hard veterans of relationships.  I admit I have my share of experience, but I find myself challenged sometimes.   Scott  hasn't really HAD a real relationship before, so this is ALL new to him.
I must say that I didn't think  at first that he was up to the challenge....I figured he would flake out and run home to PA at the first real sign of trouble.  My hat is off to him for sticking things out and getting to know me better..and for not running off when things got tough.  Scott honey, you've EARNED my respect as a man and as a human being.  Bravo!
It was a very tough  winter for us.   For one reason or another, it was hard for Scott to find work he could do that was closeby and that would fit into our schedules.   With only me as a transportation source, there was a hardship in finding nearby work that I could drive him to.    The good new is that he is now employed in a job he likes that is fairly close by and is saving for his car at last.  With the car, comes his ability to search for even more lucrative or exciting work....not to mention, the much needed freedom that having your own wheels can bring.
Anyway, good riddance to winter.  Between short funds and ridiculously priced heating fuel, we barely ate...nevermind enjoyed many of the nice little extras' life has to offer.   Needless to say, when tax refunds came around, the money was spent even before it arrived...*grins*
At any rate, ...warmer weather is here...Scott is working and contributing to the household budget and things are going fairly well.   My truck recently broke down requiring extensive work , but thanks to my folks, I had use of a vehicle for the time the truck was laid up.  Thanks also to my Dad and my nephew Dano for theirhelp in getting things patched up on the old truck.  It'snot much, but right now, it's the best I can afford....or barely afford to have.
Scott and I are undertaking some beautification projects around the house... namely some new flower beds and some home improvement projects like painting and new floors...all as soon as money allows.
Things between Scott and I are going far better than they were this winter...he is making a real effort to be trustworthy and loving..and I am making an effort to not be a bossy S.O.B...and between the two of us, I think we are happy...he seems to be and I am , so that counts for something, right?
My dear friend Mikey is still dealing with taking care his Dad, who is bedridden and not doing well.  A variety of circumstances has prevented our visiting Mikey as often as I'd like over this past winter, but those are now dissapating so I expect we will see more of hime regularly pretty soon.   The good news is that Mikey is trying to meet someone special of his own and seems to have a few promising prospects...go for it Mikey...you DESERVE it.!
My friend and former roommate Keith called me the other day to tell me that he has sold his home near us.  He spent most of the winter unemployed and recently got hired at the (get this!) *UNEMPLOYMENT OFFICE*!!!   LOL!  Anyway, he wants to be closer to work and to the potential NEW man in his life...(Hi Lyle!) :-)   My best to you too KEith...you're and awesome friend.
On  a personal note, there have been some things going on with me too...  First, I beat a 26 year smoking habit.  On Jan 3, 2002, I smoked my last cigarette...and haven't taken a puff since.  (Pats himself on the back!)   The major side effect is that I promptly put on 20+ pounds of weigh so now I am a frigging COW....*sighs*.    I have also been dealing with depression for several months now....it's just really all been adding up to knock me over.   I'm doing the best I can, but if any of you know a good treatment that doesnt' render a guy impotent or make him put on weight, I'd REALLY like your input.  :-)
That's all for now...I have flowers to plant and a summer to look forward to.
BYE!!
