this is my music
The Here And Now (click to play)
this song was one of my first written back in the spring of 2001 and it got the best reaction out of the four i played the first time i ever got up by myself in front of a croud. It was the night of Muster and we were at Rumors on the campus of Texas A&M University. My friend Justin's band was going to play there that night and he ask me to open up with some songs i wrote. The interesting thing is, i thought it was going to be just friends...people flooded into Rumors as soon as Aggie Muster was over. There was a croud, but I don't remember being nervous.

so anyways, this song is about life and the things that are special and the things that are really important.

as the sun sets on my home town
many people gather round
the music it rings so loud
i'm just one in the croud

here at the night the streets are cold and grey
the street lights are not afraid
to tell the story of the things that life has made
but the here and now fades away

everywhere i go, all the people i know
everyone i see, everywhere you'll be
everywhere i go, all the places i know
    everywhere i'll be with you
    i wanna be with you

in the distant morning sky
i see the sun arise
to tell the story of the things my god has made
but the here and now fades away

everywhere i go, all the people i know
everyone i see, everywhere you'll be
everywhere i go, all the places i know
    everywhere i'll be with you
    i wanna be with you

as i wander in search of you
why cant i believe what they say is true
these feelings that pull us close
they tell me that we're not alone

in this world full of fear and doubt
the truth will always rise behind the clouds
of hurt and pain
cause your love never fades away

everywhere i go, all the people i know
everyone i see, everywhere you'll be
everywhere i go, all the places i know
everywhere i'll be with you, i wanna be with you

cause your love never fades away
cause your love never fades away
cause your love never fades away
