Jenni's Got a Life (click to play)
this song was written about a girl i just met (Jan 19, 2005, to be exact). she was really open and real and thats what i liked about her. She had just gotten kicked out of school because they dropped her financial aid. she just moved to a new town and moved in with her best friend. she couldnt find a job. she was going broke. her cell phone was cut off. her car insurance was cancelled. she was all alone because she had moved out of her parents place when she was 16. i just really liked that way she was so independant and still seemed pretty optomistic about her situation. she was still going to graduate from college no matter how long it too. i just wanted to encourage her that sunny days are soon to come. it had been raining alot lately. i hate those gloomy days.

this is the first song i actually played for the person it was about. i mean i always like people hear the songs i write about them but it had never been in person before. i think she liked it.

jenni's got a life but not much else
her hearts little sad but you cant tell
cause shes always having a wonderful time
till she stops...and her mind unwinds

    she pours her heart out
she tells it like it is
    she wants true love
but she has nothing left to give

    her scars have healed
but they will never go away
    they keep her asking
is true love on its way

jenni's got her friends and she is loved
the problem is she dont feel worthy enough
i try to make her see the truth and realise
she needs to stop...and let her mind unwind

    [chorus]

jenni's got a life and she's got friends
she's got her dog and she's got espn
what more does she need
she needs the sun
its been raining for days
and she feels undone

    i pour my heart out
and tell it like it is
    i want true love
but i has nothing left to give

jenni dont you feel it
jenni dont you see it
jenni wont you take it
take it and run

the sun is shining
down on you

jenni dont you feel it
jenni dont you see it
jenni wont you take it
take it and run
