What a mess![no that is not my room] When was the last time you saw your floor? This just makes me cringe. Man, & I thought I was messy...jeez this guy makes me look like Martha Stewart. Clothes & papers on the floor I can deal with, but rotting mounds of rubbish? And can I just point out that he has a sewing machine? Not that it's unusual to have a sewing machine, but you'd think that this level of slobbishness and squalor would be difficult to reconcile with the sewing-machine-owning kind of lifestyle.
When my room gets messy, I have a habit of piling everything on the bed, in the redundant hope that I'll have to clear it all up before going to sleep. Of course, we all know that's not how it works. What, in fact, happens, is that I end up shifting neat-ish piles of books/papers/clothes from bed to floor and then either to the closet or under the bed., and so on, for days, until I get my act together to sort them all outor until my mom interjects & threatens to never take me shopping again.
While we're on the subject of beds, can I just take a moment to crow about mine? Thanks. Gee, while Im on the subject of my bed, I might as well rhapsodize about my room.
I adore my bed. For starters, its the size of a small country...Im thinking maybe Switzerland. It's enormous. I can lie in the middle with my arms spread out and only just touch the edges. [but I also have stubby arms..] It's firm too I got a new mattress maybe last year? My bed is right below a big window. I like sleeping under the window. Sometimes my head gets wet. But I dont mind...too much. I appreciate those kinds of things :))
You at the back. Stop giggling. Stop it.
I've got four pillows. Four pillows all for me. Aahh bliss. I have a double-sided bedspread blanket thing [its o-k...] which I ordered from some old lady mag. I love my bed. I sleep so well there. I like watching the telly in bed. Especially on sleepless nights. On most nights I usually fall asleep watching the telly or listening to the radio. And the side that I sleep on is right next to my stereo & clock [in reaching distance]
My room/s is humAINgous, which means that my bed can quite happily take up half the room, jutting out from the window in a non-efficient positioning kind of way but w/e Im satisfied. When you enter from the long hallway you are in the first room aka: my BEDroom hence the word bed. Then theres my stereo & closet in itthats about it.
Stop laughing, dammit. Im not joking! Well okay, yea I am.
Then there is a doorway in between my BEDroom & my other room aka: room #2 or "second room". A few years back I had the door taken off between the 2 rooms, and hung up these funKy rainbow gypsy curtains [no offense to gypsies]. In the second room there is a little cutie of a couch, my telly, laptop, phone, dressers, & closet [yes, another closet].
For those of you who are going to judge me & say Im spoiledbite your tongue! DO it! NOW! A long, long time ago when my brother & I were youngsters we shared the 2 rooms. But now that were older it would be ridiculous. B/c in order to leave the 2nd room, you have to go through the 1st room, and thats just a pain in the ass. And besides, I have too much crap anyways- I would have nowhere to put it all. Okay. You can stop biting your tongue now...:p
