09.18.01 Last night I almost died. No joke, I am so damn serious. Okay well first lemme tell ya how the night started out. At 8:30 or so Anthony picked me up. Then we met Jenn, Nic, & Meggs at the Mini Mart in Dumont. They had just met some guys who invited them to some party. So, Anthony & I were going to go to a coffee house down in Edgewater called �Archetypus� [it�s like a cave!!!] There was only one problem�we didn�t know how to get there. And Jenn did. Then they finally agreed to go there with us�.so we felt real bad.
So then we drove all the way down there. When we go out of the car it smelled like SHIT. Then we remembered it was that asbestos crap in the air from the city. The skyline looked so weird�so diff. So empty. Anyway we went in to the awesome Coffee House. It was soo cool. I can�t even describe it�like the walls looked like a cave & were painted green & the tables were like weird & all different shapes. And our table for five was the greatest. It was almost closed off..all it needed was a door in the entrance part. & the ceiling of it was draped in like a white sheet, with light behind it�so it was glowing!
When we were leaving at about 10:45, we wanted to stop & look at the skyline. We pulled into some Japanese restaurant parking lot, which sat right along the water. And Jenn pulled in next to some van where there were ppl getting it on. Haha. It was really sad�only seeing the Empire State Buliding�& there was still some smoke coming up.
Then we left, & Jenn went ahead of Anthony & I b/c she knew the way home. So we�re driving, and there was an ambulance a little ahead coming out of a street to the right of us. It�s lights were on�& only did one little siren thing ..ya kno..that �booop� haha sound. Jenn starts to slow down but then out of nowhere she slams on her brakes! We almost freaken slammed right into them! We were an inch away from impact, but then Anthony totally swirved to the left in the oncoming traffic lane (thankfully there were no cars coming right then). But he totally saved our asses�there was no way his brakes were gonna totally stop in time before hitting them.
And then that stupid ambulance just sat there! They were expecting Jenn to keep going! Not freaken stop! Damn ambulance was probably on a donut brake!! They just sat there realizing that they nearly caused a head-on , & when it finally pulled out it wasn�t even going our way! It freaken went straight. Afterwards Anthony & I were just shaking. For both of us, it was our closet near death experience ever.
But we were thinking & both agreed, that if we had to die, we would want it to be with each other, while listening to Phish(which we were), and in his awesome car. So if we had died�it wouldn�t have been so bad. He said he always almost gets in almost accidents when following people�or mostly just Jenn! Lol Like Sat. night they almost got screwed.
