POEMS/The End's Beginning...
THE END'S BEGINNING
Oct 6, 2001
See me standing here
High above the rest
Head tilted to the blue
Eyes so contentedly closed
A smile playing on my lips
Slowly my eyes opened
I thought I heard people
thought I heard my name
But there's only me here
Up here, on gateway to Eden
A deep breath escaped me
It's right in front of me now
I let go, and reached out
With both arms I claimed it
And flew with the wind
I thought I heard screams
As blue clouds protectively cradled me
As the blue clouds carried me to my destiny
But there's only sweet silence engulfing me
At last, peace is mine... forever
insight
Hey. Don't get me wrong. I am NOT suicidal. But I've always wondered why people commit suicide. Somebody argued that if a person takes his own life, then something's wrong with his mind or he's insane. Not entirely true in my point of view. Like the poem, others see it as a way out of their problem. Not necessarily insane, but could be psychologically weak. There are people who can't handle stress, or life, in general, that they feel this is the only solution. Like I said, not all people are strong enough when it comes to handling crisis. Other people go insane if the heat's too much. Others, choose to take their life. It's as simple as that.
