BLESSING ETERNITY

She wandered for a reason
Reason she herself can't grasp
She traveled the world's four corners
Finally, she sought the heavens

Still and always, she came back
Back into those open arms
Always waiting patiently
For her return from her quest

She stepped inside once again
And felt it close around her
Then came a single name from his lips
'Eternity' - he had whispered

She closed her eyes and held on
And knew she had finally understood;
Knew she'd searched for the final time
For when she'd heard her whispered name
She knew she was blessed
She has always been...


insight Can't remember what prompted me to write this one. Maybe this was written after I've read a book, seen a commercial or something. Whatever the reason was, I knew I wrote this partly because I too was searching for something. It wasn't romantic love. But something that I felt was missing in my life. But then again, doesn't majority of us feel this way? We search high and low, yet we always come back to something. someone. someplace.. where we feel safe.
