BEYOND THE NIGHT SKIES

It seemed like it was just yesterday
When your soul found it's way to mine
Across the stretch of the ocean room

It felt like it was just yesterday
When we shared our first and final kiss
Beneath the infinite night sky

Standing where once we shared a promise
I looked up at the bottomless firmament
Once more searching for your face;
For answers I long to hear

Finally I hung my head and felt the tears
As I heard the void abyss above me
Once more refusing to grant my plea;
To give me some sense and reason;
To let me know you're safe
Somewhere up there
Beyond the night skies



insight This is the poem that was supposed to be included in a limited coffetable book. I have this story in my head and instead of trying to write the story, i wrote it as a poem instead.
