POEMS/Arctic World...
ARCTIC WORLD
Feb. 6, 2003
Breathe in and breathe out
I thought I saw my breath
Shivering like a wet dog
Am I sitting still in a freezer
My restless eyes dart ceaselessly
Between the screen and my watch
Counting the seconds drag by
As I get ready to bolt
Out into the natural world
And out of this make-believe
Arctic world I'm in...
insight
I don't know why I can't seem to stand the airconditioner at the office. On my first job, my computer was situated right beside this huge airconditioner and I don't remember feeling this cold. Last week, I was so cold I couldn't seem to stop shivering. I felt a numbness on the back of my head so I got out of the office and sat outside for more than 15 minutes just to warm myself.
