Bid for Carey unsuccessful for maggies
The disgraced former Kangaroo captain after a family dinner on the weekend has confirmed that he wants to play for  Adelaide, with contenders Collingwood, Essendon, Hawthorn and Sydney also in the race for Carey missing out. But the question remains after so long out of footy will he still the King?

Molloy should be back for Dogs
This week should see D9 return back to the senior line up, with only playing four games this year due to injury it has been a hard year for him, last week we almost saw a return of Molloy but at the last minute was withdrawn back to Williamstown Seegulls. If he should return an already strong magpie forward line is set to get stronger, with such likes of Tarrant, Rocca, Frasier and Davis etc.

Collingwood's form been less than impressive in recent weeks
With Collingwood winning last week  it has assured the magpies of a top 4 position , but in recent weeks the form of the pies has been less than impressive. Today Western Bulldogs won by 41pts over the pies,  and now makes it impossible for Collingwood to make 3rd spot, Collingwood is set to play Port Adelaide at AAMI Stadium and with recent form a win looks doubtful. The top 4 position has assured it of a double chance.
