Website
and contents, including associated downloads in 'My downloads'
section and all links contained: © S.
Murdoch 1999.
First
of all, please let me reiterate the fact that my, Shaun Murdoch's,
software is supplied free of charge, without catches. This page
refers to
my personal right to claim the programs as mine, and to forbid
anyone
to copy my work or reverse engineer the code. It also contains a
disclaimer given with all downloads which basically states that,
no
responsibility can be taken by myself should anything adverse
occur to
you or your pet rabbit whatsoever. This does not mean that I have
deliberately 'bugged' the software, or not checked it thoroughly:
I have.
It would be wrongful, and possibly illicit, for me to plant a
virus into the
software. I give my personal assurance that I have not
deliberately placed
a virus into the code, and have checked the software as
thoroughly as
was possible and was happy that the software did not have the
capacity
to cause damage to any program or file, other than to crash
itself and the
current file. Given all that, the below disclaimer must apply:
You
are deemed to have agreed to terms set out in this page, and any
normal legal ones by running the software: (This is supplied with
all
Sienaware downloads):
Intellectual
property warning and disclaimer. Warning! Any files
downloaded fromSienaware are the intellectual property of
Mr S Murdoch. They may be distributed freely but it is strictly
forbidden
for any reverse engineering or copying of ideas to take place.
Disclaimer: (Note -
not in small illegible print!) I accept no responsibility
for the actions of this software or any loss or damage of data or
hardware resulting from its use. I have tested it fully but
cannot commit
myself to saying that it is 100% crash free. However, I have not
deliberately included viruses of any kind and the programs should
not
cause loss of saved data in the event of a crash in normal usage.
In short,
for my own legal protection: If anything breaks, it isn't my
fault!(!) I was
honest in producing this software for use by similar honest
people and
require you to be the same. I accept no liability for damage
caused by my
software due to dishonest use. By uploading the software to your
handheld computer you are deemed to have agreed to this agreement.
No viruses were packaged when this file was uploaded to the
internet:
I cannot therefore be responsible if someone has found a way to
link one
to it. According to the server this is not possible. I check all
uploads
to Yahoo Geocities for all known viruses at the time. If Yahoo
have any
sense they will constantly be checking their servers for viruses
and
hackers anyway.
General Information:
It is taken that you have read and accepted this
information and that within all files in the '\\wrd\\manuals'
folder and the
'\\read on pc' folder, which you will receive upon download.
Please read
all manuals for instructions on usage as well as disclaimers. If
this was
supplied with individual apps, not the bundle, only use what is
relevant
and install to the system screen manually using the menus rather
than
installing the group. Installation Procedure: COPY ALL FILES TO
PSION
EXCEPT '\\READ ON PC' FOLDER: PSIWIN2.2 WILL WARN YOU
ABOUT DIR NAME LENGTH AS A REMINDER. You should have
unzipped the downloaded archive using the WinZip wizard or
otherwise in order to restore the directory structure. If you
have trouble
with this install all the files manually to the correct folders
using the
contents list shown below: (NB: Underlined items may be deleted.
They
were supplied with v1 but are no longer necessary and hence are
no
longer supplied - this will dramatically reduce memory
consumption
and not reduce software productivity at all. Note: in update
circumstances delete the underlined and switch only the .opa file(s)
in the \\app\\pms folder. Apologies for the unfortunately named
apps folder!!)
Dir & Contents:
\\ANIM Logo.pic
\\APP Homemade.grp (H'made2.grp in v2.0) Uninstal.opa
\\APP\\PMS All .opa and .als
\\DRAW NONE - Your files
\\JOT Jotter.dbf
\\Logsiena Logo3.pic
\\WEB Dir.odb Home.pic WebPg1.pic Icon.pic
\\Wrd\\Manuals All .wrd files
\\OPD All 5 other .pic files
For a more detailed contents list of files you should have for
each app
and files that app will create please refer to 'Files.wrd' in the
manuals
folder. You should have used PsiWin to put the files into the
appropriate
folders, or simply dragged the folders if they don't exist. The
files are
shipped as you need them, only copy them to your Siena, don't
translate
them. Delete ReadMe1, and ReadMe3, the files telling you what to
do on
your PC. If you dislike an app or have no requirement for it,
delete it!
(Uninstaller now available with v2.0) Once all files are in place
on Siena
all you need to do to install is to select install from the menu
and install
"Homemade.grp" to the system screen, all the others
will appear inside
it - press space to open it. NB: Sometimes programs can appear
not to be
doing anything for a second or two, more if you have little
available
memory. (You may have noticed this already with 'Data' when it
sorts
large files in little memory.) In this case please be patient
while the
program finishes its task (opening/saving/deleting etc can take a
little
longer on low memory). Usually (unless the program is the
uninstaller) it
should take no longer than 5 seconds, although I promise not.
However,
even on low memory the length of waiting time should not be
obtrusive.
I have ironed out programs so that under normal conditions they
will not
freeze or crash (but as stated below, although I have a 100%
success
record on not publishing works with bugs, I cannot obviously
commit
myself to saying all programs are bug free (only say without
commitment that I haven't found any left in published works yet!).
All Bug reports to: [email protected] please.
Disclaimer: THIS SOFTWARE IS USED ENTIRELY AT OWN RISK
AND IS WITHOUT WARRANTY GUARANTEED OR IMPLIED.
Basically: Use of
this software is at your own risk, I cannot be liable
for anything - including loss of data, hardware, or sheep. As
with all
shareware/freeware (protecting one's back). You accept this by
keeping
the software and/or using it. This file, along with the others is
taken as
read. The software may be distributed freely but must be
registered for
each user if not freeware (all current works are) and must not be
changed in any way. You must not claim credit for it and must put
"Credits: solely Shaun Murdoch www.geocities.com/sienaware"
directly beside or above/underneath it and supplied with it
outside
the archive in at least size 14 font. Must be clear and prominent.
You
must notify me at [email protected] as to the location. It is
strictly forbidden for any reverse engineering or copying of
ideas to take
place. This software is the intellectual property of Mr S Murdoch,
[email protected] You are deemed to have read all other
ReadMe files supplied in the arhive. Please also read the app
manuals
to see how to operate each. Programming: My web site
(www.geocities.com/sienaware) provides links and a little info
for
programmers. Also good: 3lib and PsionKing (aka 5Alive): links on
my
site. I will give links on my site to any amateur software at my
own
discretion when asked. I ask for a link on yours also if one
exists but that's
not vital.
Ideas:
If you have an idea, but don't want to program it,
send it to me by e-mail at [email protected] and I'll choose
whether to produce it or not. If in all probability I choose to
produce it, I
will split the credit with you, and any (likely to be small)
profits if
shareware.
Bug Reports etc: If you should ever need or wish to contact
me for anything whatsoever please feel free to drop me an email
- [email protected] . All software is fully tested, however
some
minor bugs might rarely slip through unnoticed, - they haven't
yet.
Please note: None have so far thanks to thorough checks. If you
discover
one please report it to the above address and the bug will be
fixed and
immediately updated on the internet. I will send you a new copy
and
re-registration codes if necessary (all software freeware at 9/1999).
NB: Bugs should not harm your data or machine - they may however
cause the program to fail and lose unsaved data within that
program
but nothing else through normal usage. However, please remember
that software is used entirely at your own risk as I cannot be
held
liable for any loss or harm to data or physical objects.
Thank-You for
downloading this software, and visiting this site.
Please visit my site again at www.geocities.com/sienaware and
feel
free to e-mail me at [email protected] if you experience
problems
or bugs.
